This portfolio
Making-of
I made a point of illustrating this portfolio entirely by hand: the character illustrations, but also every icon, cursor, loader and logo. The body font is none other than my own handwriting, which I traced by hand and turned into a web font.
This portfolio represents me through its technical, creative and above all lively side; its goal is to show you who I am and what makes me an engineer.
Technical stack
It is built with Next.js 16 (App Router) and React 19, in strict TypeScript, with CSS Modules and design tokens rather than a CSS framework. Every page is statically generated, in French and English: a missing translation fails the build.
The selection screen is a 3D ring of characters driven by Motion; projects circle each character on an orbit in true perspective, with curved cards. The chosen character glides from the selection to its grid with View Transitions, and each card turns into a poster when a project opens.
Quality matters as much as the effect: full keyboard navigation, screen reader support, reduced motion on request, unit tests (Vitest) and end-to-end tests (Playwright, axe) on desktop and mobile, run on every push in continuous integration. My drawings go through a small script (sharp) that turns them into icons and cursors that stay sharp on Retina screens.
