About the project
Every year, 803Z, the arts office of Université Gustave Eiffel, runs Coverartober: one theme a day to design an album cover, with 24 hours to make each one.
Here are five of my covers: Sunflower Lake, Hyper Pink, Soirs de fin d'été, Moonlight Drive and Today I Saw a Snail Without a Tail. Each one finds its own balance between image and typography, from a line drawing over a field of sunflowers to a single framed word on a pink pattern or an illustrated face with a spiral eye.
Key points
- 24 hours per cover, from theme to final artwork
- Typography and composition tuned to each theme
- Presented as CD mock-ups
