About the project
SGE is the Enedis portal that electricity suppliers use to work with the operator of the French distribution grid: it is where they order the services their customers need on the network. I joined the redesign of this portal as a front-end developer, first for the final internship of my DUT MMI, then for a year of work-study through Talan.
It was a large industrial project: nearly a hundred developers, split into many small teams, each in charge of its own micro-apps.
I worked on two of these micro-apps: the service request forms for the mass market, meaning households and small businesses, and the global search, built on Elasticsearch, across every part of the portal. Mostly front-end in Angular, but also back-end in Spring (Java), in an environment with CI/CD and unit test coverage.
Key points
- Large-scale industrial project: micro-apps, nearly a hundred developers
- Service request forms for the mass market
- Elasticsearch global search across the whole portal
- Angular front-end, Spring back-end, CI/CD and unit tests
